CAIRO: Launched by the Royal Commission for Mecca City and the Holy Sites, the map provides detailed descriptions of key sites while ensuring easy access through a QR code, allowing visitors to download it directly.

The initiative comes ahead of Ramadan, a time when millions of worshippers flock to Mecca for Umrah and prayers at the Grand Mosque. The Commission’s CEO, Saleh Al Rasheed, emphasized that the project aims to preserve Mecca’s historical landmarks, enhance visitor engagement, and promote these sites as cultural and tourist destinations.

To further improve accessibility, an interactive digital version of the map has also been launched on the ‘Discover Mecca’ page of the Commission’s official website, providing real-time updates and navigation support.
