Muscat – The championship will be held in cooperation with the Oman Marine Sports Committee and the IODA at Al Musannah Sailing School from October 25 to November 1, 2025.

This is the second time that the Sultanate of Oman has hosted this championship, after successfully organising the event in 2019, which witnessed the participation of 141 sailors from 21 countries. This confirms Oman’s ability to provide an ideal competitive environment for the sport and underscores the experience and competence of its team.

Dr. Khamis bin Salim Al Jabri, CEO of Oman Sail, said: “We are very pleased to be hosting this prestigious championship for the second time. This win reflects the international confidence in our capabilities and proves our continued success in enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a leading global destination for sailing.”

He added: “Hosting the championship is not only a platform for international sporting competitions, but also an opportunity for cultural exchange and promoting tourism in the Sultanate of Oman. We stress the importance of this event in strengthening the ties between participating sailors from various countries in Asia and Oceania. It will be an opportunity for our youth to test their abilities and compete with their professional sailor peers.”

It is worth noting that Al Musannah Sailing School, affiliated with Oman Sail, has been selected to become an Asian Class A approved training centre according to the Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) classification for high performance centres.
