Muscat: Oman clinched a 1-0 victory over Yemen in a friendly match on December 16, as part of their preparations for the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup in Kuwait.
The match marked a reunion between the two teams, two years after Oman’s thrilling 3-2 win over Yemen in the Gulf Cup Group stage. With a disappointing 1-0 loss to Iraq on November 19 still fresh in their minds, Oman aimed to bounce back with a stronger performance. Yemen, on the other hand, came into the match on a two-game unbeaten streak, having drawn with Kuwait 1-1 on December 9.
