BAHRAIN: Al Harthy, who piloted a BMW M4 GT3, clocked a qualifying time of 2 minutes, 3.797 seconds, placing him in 13th position. This time ruled him out of the prestigious “Hyper Pole” session, reserved for the top 10 cars, but the racer is undeterred. Known for his resilience, Al Harthy emphasized that Bahrain’s demanding track presents a tough challenge for BMWs.

Over Thursday and Friday, Al Harthy and his WRT teammates—Italian Valentino Rossi and Belgian Maxime Martin—ran multiple practice sessions, ultimately recording the eighth and ninth fastest times across training rounds. This progress, along with their third-place finish at Fuji in the penultimate round, has boosted the team’s morale ahead of the final race.

Supported by key Omani sponsors, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, OQ Group, Omantel, Discover Oman, and BMW Oman, Al Harthy holds 61 points, placing him in fifth within the GT3 category. He notes optimistically that this time, they aim to move even higher in the rankings.
