Muscat: Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Humaid Al Harthy, Wali of Ibri, the event marked a new era for motorsport and entertainment in the region.
Ahmed bin Rashid Al Marshoudi, Director of Media at the Office of the Governor of Al Dhahirah, pointed out that the “Ibri Arena” project is a continuation of a group of projects in Al Dhahirah Governorate, as this project is a qualitative addition to the event arenas in the Wilayat.
Spanning 21,000 square meters, Ibri Arena boasts stands for over 6,000 spectators, ample public parking, and state-of-the-art facilities. Designed to host a range of sports and entertainment events, the venue aims to attract visitors and boost the local economy with a regular schedule of activities and festivals.

The Oman Automobile Association’s Marketing Director, Mohammed bin Taleb Al Raisi, highlighted the significance of the event for motorsports fans, noting that the association aims to provide an unparalleled experience for enthusiasts. He pointed out that the association seeks through this event to enhance sports and tourism activities in the governorate, and to provide a unique experience for motorsports enthusiasts, stressing that the parade ground has been equipped according to the highest standards to provide a safe and exciting environment for participants and the public.
He explained that the freestyle event hosts contestants from the saloon and four-wheel drive categories from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, with the number of participants exceeding 60.
The collaboration between the Governor’s Office and the Oman Automobile Association underscores a shared vision for developing motorsports in Oman, fostering safe competition, and supporting young talents in the field.
