MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday praised the efforts of private sector companies in the country and said it is a “key player in enhancing economic growth and shaping the business environment” in Oman.
Addressing the some business people, owners of SMEs and emerging companies during a meeting at Al Barakah Palace, His Majesty also stressed the the importance of private sector, “which is the cornerstone of modern economies.”
He also directed the Omani banking sector to keep pace the developments taking place in global banking and financial policies that support the business environment and stimulate economic activity in the country during the coming period.
