MUSCAT: Wilayat Muttrah was once considered the epicenter of coronavirus pandemic but now has fewer cases reported compared to other places in the country.
For the first time, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wilayat Muttrah, dropped to below 50 on Saturday, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Health.
Of the total 368 total coronavirus cases recorded in Muscat Governorate, only 32 cases were registered on Saturday. A total of 5,744 have recovered, while there are only 1,744 active cases in Muttrah.

Oman on Saturday confirmed 1,177 new coronavirus cases, taking the total tally to 45,106.
