Muscat – This project is set to create an integrated environment for the industrial sector in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, leveraging the region’s rich resources in mining, food, tourism, and other sectors.
This initiative reflects Madayn’s ongoing commitment to bolstering economic development and fostering value-added industries throughout Oman.

Eng. Saleh bin Salman Al Abri, Director General of Facilities and Infrastructure at Madayn, stated that the detailed master plan for the industrial city has been completed, with all final designs and consulting studies, including soil testing and traffic assessments, approved. He noted that the tender documents for the implementation of the first phase are ready and will be offered soon.

The tender encompasses the development of approximately 2.5 million square meters, which will include essential services such as road networks, water and sewage systems, lighting, security fencing, and surveillance devices. The project will also feature ready-made industrial units, each covering 500 square meters, alongside administrative offices, manufacturing workshops, and designated parking areas for trucks.

Additionally, the tender includes a services building that will house the industrial city administration’s offices, the ‘Masar’ service centre—designed as a one-stop shop for investors—and meeting facilities.
Eng. Al Abri highlighted the strategic location of the industrial city, situated near a major road connecting the Duqm Special Economic Zone with Oman’s primary ports and border crossings. A dedicated area of 100,000 square meters has been allocated for logistical investments, while spaces for agricultural investments will be coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, aimed at enhancing food security initiatives in the region.

The industrial city will also prioritize investments in renewable energy and knowledge-based industries in partnership with educational institutions and private entities.

Eng. Saeed bin Khalfan Al Shabibi, Acting Director General of Al Mudhaibi Industrial City, emphasized that establishing an industrial city equipped with essential services will significantly boost economic activities in North Al Sharqiyah. He assured that the city would offer exceptional incentives and exemptions to attract investors.

Eng. Al Shabibi encouraged investors and business owners to submit their applications for investment in Al Mudhaibi Industrial City, marking this phase as a crucial step in developing the city’s infrastructure and facilitating local investment processes.
