MUSCAT : Sri Lanka A’s smooth chase of Pakistan A’s modest 136-run target at Al Amerat ended in 16.3 overs, securing their place in the final.

Pakistan A’s innings concluded at 135/9 in 20 overs, a low for them in the tournament. Ehsan Malinga’s tight bowling in the final over, which included the wicket of Mohammad Imran Junior (13), capped off a restrictive spell, conceding just 7 runs. Shahnawaz Dahani contributed a couple of runs through an overthrow on the last ball, but the Shaheens were left defending a tough position.

Sri Lanka A’s openers Yashoda Lanka and Lahiru Udara launched their innings confidently, while Shahnawaz Dahani led the attack with the new ball after taking an impressive six wickets in their last match. However, Sri Lanka A’s batting lineup proved too strong, comfortably reaching 137/3 to clinch the win.

With this victory, Sri Lanka A advances to the Emerging Teams Asia Cup final, where they will face the winner of the India A vs Afghanistan A semi-final, scheduled later in the day.
