Khimji Ramdas and Youth Center partner to empower Omani youth through training and creative initiatives

MUSCAT : Khimji Ramdas and the Youth Center have entered into a strategic agreement aimed at empowering the youth of Sultanate of Oman through a series of training workshops and initiatives designed to equip them with skills for the job market. The agreement was formalized during the closing ceremony of the 2024 summer program, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyed Saud bin Hilal bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat Governorate.

On behalf of Khimji Ramdas, the agreement was signed by Kairavi Khimji, Director, while His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth for Sports and Youth Affairs, signed on behalf of the Youth Center.

This collaboration will deliver training workshops across various governorates of Sultanate of Oman, with the goal of enhancing youth competencies and preparing them to meet the challenges of the job market. The initiative reflects Khimji Ramdas’ and the Youth Center’s shared commitment to supporting and enriching youth in the Sultanate.

As part of the agreement, Khimji Ramdas and the Youth Center will also continue their collaboration on the “Mindarah Omania” photography competition, now in its third edition. Launched in 2022, this competition has garnered significant attention, inspiring young Omani photographers to showcase their talent and creativity.

Speaking on the occasion, Kairavi Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas, said, “Aligned with the Sultanate of Oman’s Vision 2040, this partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering Omani youth as key contributors to the nation’s socio-economic development. Through these training programs and creative platforms like the photography competition, we aim to equip the next generation with essential skills that will not only enhance their professional prospects but also support the Sultanate’s long-term vision of sustainable growth and innovation.”

His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth for Sports and Youth Affairs, added, “Our collaboration with Khimji Ramdas highlights the importance of nurturing young talent in the Sultanate of Oman. By offering both practical training and avenues for creative expression, we are continuing to work towards the development of a skilled and dynamic workforce for the Sultanate.”

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to foster youth development and drive economic growth through skill-building and creative opportunities.
