Muscat – The agreements are expected to generate over RO 2.7 million in returns and promote economic growth and commercial services in the region.

The contracts were signed by H.E. Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, and involve key projects such as the development of an integrated public transport station in Nizwa, as well as leasing sites for advertising platforms along main streets and public spaces in several wilayats, including Nizwa, Samayil, and Al Hamra. These advertising platforms, both printed and electronic, will be operational for five years.

H.E. Al Hajri emphasized the governorate’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure to attract investors, thereby improving economic development and quality of life. He noted that the transport station project, strategically located in the commercial heart of Nizwa, will feature five main components, including a bus and taxi station, two business centers, a commercial mall, and a secondary internal transport station. The project’s architectural design aims to blend modernity with local authenticity.

Highlighting the importance of the advertising sector, Al Hajri stated that it plays a crucial role in promoting local and tourism initiatives, contributing to comprehensive development and sustainability. He reiterated the governorate’s proactive approach to adapting to global economic trends and emphasized the need to leverage its geographical and cultural advantages to attract investment.

Eng. Badr bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, CEO of Mwasalat, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that the agreement aims to enhance cooperation between Mwasalat, local authorities, and the private sector. Following the project’s completion, Mwasalat will manage the public transport station in Nizwa, providing efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced transport services.

The station is set to operate intercity bus routes in partnership with local operators, facilitating easy transportation between various governorates. Its central location in Nizwa is expected to attract more visitors and bolster commercial and tourism activities in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
