MUSCAT : During the first half of 2024, a remarkable 247 new licenses for economic activities were issued, demonstrating the region’s growing appeal as a prime location for growth and development.

Various sectors experienced significant growth, with public services, environmental licenses, and building permits leading the way. The SEZAD’s commitment to facilitating its services to all beneficiaries has played a crucial role in attracting investors.

Key investment indicators for the period include:

  • 355 public service licenses
  • 68 commercial records
  • 455 building permits
  • 87 environmental licenses
  • More than 900 work permits
