Oman’s Commerce Minister holds meeting with French business delegation

The meeting discussed means of promoting the economic relations between Oman and France.

MUSCAT : Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion held a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters today with a French business delegation.

The meeting came within the context of alluring foreign investments and highlighting business environment in the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting discussed means of promoting the economic relations between Oman and France. It also underlined the cooperation and partnership opportunities with the French companies.

During the meeting, Juhaina Yousef Al Balushi, Investment Specialist at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, gave a visual presentation to the delegation. She touched on investment incentives in the Sultanate of Oman, the advantages and facilities provided by special economic zones and free zones, and the investment opportunities offered in various sectors.

The French delegation will also hold meetings with some ministers and Oman business people to explore the investment and partnership opportunities between the two sides.

The meeting was attended by Nabil Hajlaoui, Ambassador of the French Republic to Oman and a number of officials at the ministry.

The French delegation comprises some companies working in the areas of energy, transportation, tourism, infrastructure, water, waste treatment, urban planning, events and entertainment sectors.
