Muscat:  Muscat Governorate has concluded the five-day ‘Leadership Development for Second-Level Leaders’ program, which aims to equip participants with basic leadership skills that will enable them to improve organizational performance and contribute to achieving strategic goals efficiently. The program focused on main fields such as strategic planning, decision-making and effective communication. Additionally, developing the ability to face real-life challenges in the work environment. 

     The program’s presenter, Dr. Mohammed bin Fayel Al Araimi, praised the pioneering role played by Muscat Governorate in developing and building the human element, noting that these programs are according to the strategic directions of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to prepare national leaders equipped with the modern leadership skills. Al Araimi stressed the positive interaction of the participants with all the themes of the program, especially with regard to the development of creative and innovative capabilities, which enhances their ability to adapt to changes and future opportunities to achieve competitive excellence. 

     Dr Al Araimi offered many advices to the participants, most notably the need to continue learning and self-development, seek to expand knowledge in the fields of administrative leadership and apply what has been learnt in the work environment. 

     Marwa Al Qarniya said: “The course was enriching and valuable and contributed to our personal and organizational development, especially in understanding and accepting the opinions of others and developing sensitivity skills”. Nasser Al Dahmani said that the program enhanced leadership, planning and teamwork skills, noting its role in improving organizational performance and developing innovative strategies to solve issues. 

     Mohammed Al Hamidi praised his experience in the program, describing it as excellent, as he gained the skill of teamwork with a focus on joint decision-making. He explained that these skills will greatly improve his performance in several areas, including organizing work, making decisions related to daily tasks, and generating innovative ideas. 

       For his part, Khalil Al Balushi emphasized that the content was presented in a distinctive way and varied between the theoretical and practical aspects, making the experience comprehensive and easy. He stated that he gained basic skills, such as strategic thinking, making decisions with confidence, and developing effective communication skills. “‘These skills will help me improve my performance in the work environment, facilitate communication with my team, as well as improve time and task management, which will reflect positively on the organization efficiency”. 

     At the program’s end, the participating employees were honoured for their commitment and active participation throughout the training period. This honour comes as a praise for their efforts in acquiring leadership skills that will contribute to enhancing organizational performance and developing work methods within their organizations. 

     To continue the leadership efficiencies’ development, the ‘Future Leaders’ program, targeting department heads in Muscat Governorate, starts today (Sunday). The program continues until Thursday and aims to equip leaders with advanced skills that enhance their ability to manage their teams and develop effective strategies to achieve organizational purposes. These programs reflect the governorate’s commitment to investing in human resources and creating a new generation of leaders able to lead organizations into a prosperous future, according to the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
