Muscat: Organized annually by the Oman Mathematics Committee, the three-day event aims to explore the intersection of STEM education with vocational and technical learning, aligning with global trends in future skills and sustainable development.

The conference is part of Oman Vision 2040’s strategic goals, which emphasize the diversification of educational paths to meet the demands of an evolving labor market and support the country’s transition to a knowledge-based economy. A number of renowned experts and specialists from Oman, France, Germany, and Egypt will participate in the event.

A highlight of the conference is the opening lecture by Dr. Christophe Sorge, President of the International Mathematical Union, who will commend the efforts of the Omani Mathematics Committee over the past decade. In 2018, Oman achieved full first-class membership in the International Mathematical Union, marking a significant milestone for the country’s academic standing.

The Omani Mathematics Committee, established in 2011 by a decision of the Council of Ministers, operates under the supervision of SQU’s International Cooperation Office.
