Alizz Islamic Bank receives delegation from the Islamic Corporation for the development of the private sector

MUSCAT : Alizz Islamic Bank recently hosted a delegation from The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) who were on a visit to the Sultanate in coordination with the Ministry of Finance’s National Program for Financial Sustainability and Financial Sector Development ‘Estidama’.

Mr. Ali Al Mani, Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank welcomed the delegation lead by Mr. Bahaaledine Kirimly – Acting Chief Investment Officer, Business Solutions Complex, General Manager, Banking Department of ICD. During the visit growth and development of Islamic banking in the Sultanate and in the GCC region were discussed as well as current developments.

On this occasion, Mr. Ali Al Mani CEO of Alizz Islamic Bank, said: “We were honoured to host the delegation from ICD. It presents the bank with an opportunity to reinforce Alizz Islamic Bank’s role as a market leader in the Sultanate and enhance the collaboration between us in various domains. It is our duty to raise awareness on Islamic banking products and how they work and these kinds of exchanges of experiences lead to the development of Islamic Banking locally & regionally. The Islamic banking industry growth is highlighted by the increasing demand for sharia-compliant products not only from specialists and experts but also from investors and customers globally.”

The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) is a multilateral development financial institution that supports the economic development of its member countries. Based in Jeddah, ICD is a part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group and was established in November 1999. With an authorised capital of $4 billion, ICD’s shareholders include the IsDB, 56 Islamic countries, and five public financial institutions.
