Muscat: The Oman Football Association (OFA) has appointed Rasheed Jaber, a distinguished figure in Omani football, as the new head coach of the national team.
Jaber, known for his impressive track record and recent success with Seeb Club, steps in after Czech coach Jaroslav Silhavy’s abrupt dismissal.
Jaber’s primary mission is to rejuvenate the national team’s spirit. The team is set to face pivotal World Cup qualifiers against Kuwait and Jordan. “My priority is to restore the spirit of our national team,” Jaber stated, reflecting his commitment to leading the Red Warriors with renewed vigour.

Silhavy’s tenure was cut short after just seven months following disappointing performances against Iraq and South Korea in the World Cup qualifiers. The OFA confirmed that the decision to part ways with Silhavy was mutual, aiming to realign the team’s strategy for upcoming challenges.
