MUSCAT : Algerian cyclist Yacine Hamza secured first place in the final stage of the tour with a 133-kilometre ride from Al Mughsail to the scenic Darbat Waterfalls. The exhilarating race took place under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality.
This year’s Salalah Cycling Tour, hosted by Dhofar Municipality in partnership with the Oman Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, saw fierce competition. Earlier in the tour, Van Werdemen led the pack during the third stage, which started at Al Hafa Market, passed through the Niyabat of Taitam, and concluded at Itin Park.
