Muscat: Alizz Islamic Bank is pleased to announce the enrollment of the fourth batch in the renowned Ruwad Alizz Leadership Program, aimed at cultivating leadership in various industries in the Sultanate. In partnership with Harvard Manage Mentor, the esteemed e-learning platform affiliated with Harvard University, the program offers a comprehensive training experience. It aims to empower and develop 40 employees annually, 20 from Alizz Islamic Bank and 20 from other esteemed Government & Private Sector institutions. The program entails six consecutive months of dedicated study, with the first, second and third batches having already produced more than 90 successful graduates.
The program encompasses a range of activities, including visits to large corporations and meeting inspiring CEOs to gain insights from their leadership experiences. Participants will also undergo various examinations from Harvard University to apply their acquired knowledge in practical scenarios. Furthermore, the program is designed to focus on group projects to foster collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving while preparing the candidates for the realities of the workplace. Additionally, they enhance learning outcomes by encouraging active participation, diverse perspective and peer learning. The final assignment is for the groups to present to an esteemed judging panel their innovative banking solution for evaluation.
Expressing his congratulations to the participants of the fourth batch, Mr. Ali Al Mani, the Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank, emphasised the increasing responsibilities that lie ahead, particularly given the current focus on providing employment opportunities to young leaders. In his address, he stated, “We are proud to have hundreds of graduates from various programs conducted by the Bank, training future leaders both internally and externally is crucial and it aligns closely with our sustainability initiatives. We believe that this continuity of learning and development is vital for the long-term to help drive innovation, ethical leadership and our contribution to the nation.

During this time, participants conduct independent research on a specific leadership topic. By offering a comprehensive and accelerated development journey, the program facilitates enhanced learning and the assimilation of diverse experiences and leadership styles. It acknowledges the importance of harnessing individual, societal, and organisational experiences as a means for personal growth, going beyond mere observation.
