JORDAN: Led by His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth for Sports and Youth, the Omani delegation emphasized the nation’s unwavering dedication to fostering youth development. During the session, His Excellency highlighted Oman’s focus on youth as a top priority, stressing the importance of continuous communication among Arab youth to overcome challenges and build safe, stable societies.

His Excellency pointed out that Oman’s participation in the forum aligns with its broader vision of integrating youth programs with sustainable development goals, particularly those outlined in the “Oman 2040” vision. This approach, he noted, is in harmony with the goals outlined in the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace, and Security, aiming to achieve the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals through youth-driven development programs and projects.

The session also served as a platform for Oman to engage in critical dialogues, including intergenerational and intercultural conversations, as well as discussions on the intersections of youth agendas with peace, security, and climate issues. His Excellency shared that Oman is currently working on a national youth strategy, which will align with the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace, and Security. This strategy aims to guide the nation’s economic, social, political, cultural, and sports transformations in the coming years, ensuring that youth needs and services are met through targeted national projects and initiatives.

Oman’s active participation extended to the launch of the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace, and Security (2023-2028) during the international forum “Arab Vision: Youth, Peace, and Security on the Global Stage.”
