MUSCAT : This collaborative effort aims to enhance environmental sustainability through collaborations with private sector companies and institutions. This partnership between EA and OPAL focuses on implementing green practices and initiatives to address environmental challenges, while promoting a sustainable future in Oman.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Ali Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, and Engineer Mohammed bin Hamoud Al Naabi, CEO of OPAL.
The ‘Green Alliance’ initiative aims to highlight the importance of optimal exploitation of natural resources and enhance the economic value of environmental resources. It also supports private sector companies and institutions to achieve zero carbon neutrality by 2050, raise the level of community environmental awareness, increase vegetation cover, and invest in the field of carbon credits through afforestation projects in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
