Muscat: In a video conference hosted by the State of Qatar, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture, represented Oman at the meeting. The discussions were held among the undersecretaries of the Ministries of Agriculture from the GCC countries, focusing on enhancing regional agricultural systems and policies.

Key topics on the agenda included the work of the Permanent Committee for Animal Wealth, which aims to strengthen livestock resources; the Permanent Committee for Fisheries Wealth, which focuses on sustainable marine resources; and the Permanent Committee for Food Security, tasked with ensuring stable and secure food supplies for the GCC nations.
