Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation today organised a familiarization meeting for new students shortlisted for scholarships and grants abroad during Academic Year 2024-2025.
The meeting, held at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), elaborated on key features of scholarships. It laid emphasis on awareness about academic, religious, cultural and legal aspects in countries offering the scholarships.
In a lecture at the meeting, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs advised the students about ways of adaptation to different communities and means of preserving their own identity, culture, religious and moral values that distinguish the Omani character.
The Directorate General of Scholarships also provided an overview of scholarships and grants abroad. It outlined procedures governing travel, study and housing systems, as well as important electronic services in the countries offering the scholarships.
