MUSCAT : “We would like to bring to your attention a recent increase in fake SMS and WhatsApp messages that are being sent to our customers, requesting payments for various services. Please be aware that these messages are not sent by Oman Post or Asyad Express and are part of a phishing scam aimed at obtaining personal and financial information,” stated the alert.
Oman Post and Asyad Express urge customers to exercise caution and ignore any suspicious payment requests received through SMS, WhatsApp, or phone calls.
“If you receive any such request, do not respond to it and do not share any personal or financial information. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1001,” the alert added.
