Oman’s CPA issues decision banning used tires; imposes RO 1000 fine on violators

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has announced Decision No. 1/2024, which amends the provisions of Decision No. 257/2015 concerning the prohibition of used tire circulation.

MUSCAT : Under the new decision, individuals found violating the ban on used tire trade will face an administrative fine of up to RO 1,000. Repeat offenders will be subject to a doubled fine, and continued violations will result in an additional daily fine of RO 50, with a maximum penalty of RO 2,000.
