Muscat – “The Al-Ayjah Lighthouse, also known as the Sur Lighthouse, is one of the most beautiful attractions that can be visited in the wilayat. It is located facing the Sea of Oman in Ras Almeel in the Al-Ayjah region,” states the Ministry poster.
It overlooks the highest eastern side of the Sur Port, offering charming panoramic views of the city, the sea and the surrounding areas; it presents cultural, historical and natural experiences for visitors.
The Ministry has been sharing snippets of Sur’s historical and cultural components as well as it rich archaeological sites and natural tourist vistas that contributed to its selection as the capital of Arab tourism for the year 2024.
