Muscat – The National Multiple Hazard Early Warning Center at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a warning based on recent analyses of the prevailing atmospheric conditions.

Meteorologist Aisha bint Jumaa Al Qasimi from the Civil Aviation Authority informed Oman News Agency that a low-pressure system moving from the east is currently affecting the northern regions of the Sultanate. This system has led to extensive cloud cover and a relative decrease in temperatures.
According to the forecasts, low and medium-altitude clouds will persist over the northern governorates, with potential for local cloud activity in the Al Hajar Mountains and nearby areas during the afternoon and evening.

There are chances of scattered rainfall, with varying intensities expected over Muscat, North Al-Batinah, South Al-Batinah, Al-Dakhiliya, Al-Buraimi, Al-Dhahirah, North Al-Sharqiyah, and South Sharqiyah. Rainfall amounts are projected to range between 15 to 45 mm.

Al Qasimi reported that the state of Nakhl has already recorded the highest rainfall amount of 48.6 mm due to the current weather conditions. This was followed by Al Buraimi with 24.6 mm and Rustaq with 22.8 mm, as per data from meteorological monitoring stations.
