Muscat – Executed in collaboration with a local developer, this phase will feature 50 car showrooms designed with advanced and creative elements to attract car agencies and used car showrooms. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of regulating the labour market and providing opportunities for Omani youth to enter the workforce.

Upcoming developments include the construction of a mosque, a fuel filling station, and various workshops and warehouses.
Mohammed bin Hamad Al Siyabi, Director of Asset Management at Sandan City, emphasized that the Sandan City project showcases the Sultanate of Oman’s progress in organizing industries, businesses, and real estate development.
Sandan City boasts the largest concentration of used car showrooms in the Sultanate, with 100 car showrooms in its first and second phases. Half of these showrooms are operational, housing over 1,000 cars. The city provides comprehensive services for visitors, including financing, insurance, workshops, luxury shops, and more, spread across over 1,200 shops and workshops designed to meet business owners’ needs.
Additionally, Sandan City includes large showrooms for electronics and building supplies, along with spaces for small industries with low emissions.
Al Siyabi highlighted that the Sandan City project aligns with the government’s efforts to create job opportunities for young people, organize business sectors, and provide a conducive environment for Omani youth to start their businesses. The geographical location of Sandan City was strategically chosen to complement the urban expansion of Muscat Governorate, ensuring easy access for visitors from Muscat, South Al Batinah, and neighboring governorates like North Al Batinah.
Notably, Sandan City is the first integrated city in Oman dedicated to the automotive sector and related industries. Spanning a total area of 250,000 square meters, the project’s investment cost across its three phases reaches RO 100 million. Currently, Sandan City is home to more than 2,500 residents living in over 1,200 housing units, which form a crucial part of the project’s comprehensive development plan
