Muscat – To ensure transparency, protect beneficiaries, and enhance the quality of service related to billing, the Authority has been working to review the existing ‘Billing Accuracy Guidelines’ issued by Decision No. 32/2009, and upgrade it into a regulation that follows international best practices in this regard.
The review process aims to develop an agile regulatory environment in line with developments, safeguard interests of end users, and improve the quality of services provided with reasonable prices.
It will focus on billed events and process management, IT controls, test and measurement strategy, inspection/audit and consumers rights.
