Muscat – The signing ceremony took place at the Embassy of France in Muscat last Wednesday.
This partnership marks a pivotal moment for both Amal Al Raisi and the Embassy of France to Oman, combining their respective strengths to create new opportunities for the youth of Oman.
The Embassy will sponsor one candidate from the Amal Al Raisi Fashion Future Program for a fully paid two week internship in Paris with the famous Lebanese designer Rabih Kayrouz at Maison Rabih Kayrouz.
The Fashion Future Program, powered by Sohar International, is a nine-month internship program conducted by Amal Al Raisi at the Dar Al Aseel Atelier. This initiative was previously formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at the Authentic Journey to Oman Fashion Show in October 2023, held at the prestigious Oman Across Ages Museum.
Out of over 100 plus applicants, ten students were shortlisted and interviewed by Amal Al Raisi for the program. The comprehensive nine-month curriculum covers over twenty fashion design related subjects, offering students a thorough understanding of both practical and theoretical aspects of the fashion industry.
The new partnership with the French Embassy in Oman represents a significant milestone in Amal Al Raisi’s dedication to put Oman on the international fashion map.
