MUSCAT : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman has expressed strong support for the meeting of Palestinian factions held in the People’s Republic of China recently. This gathering led to the signing of the “Beijing Declaration,” a document aimed at unifying the Palestinian ranks.
The Ministry underscored the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to empower the Palestinian factions, emphasizing that unity is crucial for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. The statement highlighted the need to achieve justice by establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This vision aligns with the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and peace and is consistent with relevant international resolutions.
