Muscat: Authorities from the North Al Batinah Municipality in Oman discovered a stash of expired eggs, cheeses, and food colorings in a local bakery in Suwaiq. The eggs, 54 cartons in total, were found preserved at inappropriate temperatures, posing a significant health risk to consumers. Alongside the expired eggs, inspectors also found quantities of expired cheeses and food colorings.
The municipality acted swiftly, destroying all the compromised products and taking legal measures against the bakery.
