Muscat – The closure comes after numerous complaints were filed against the establishment for breaching contracts and failing to provide services within the agreed period.
Consumers reported that the company breached agreements for detailing and installing doors, windows, and other aluminum materials in their homes. The establishment allegedly failed to deliver on the promised timelines, causing delays and inconveniences.
This conduct was found to violate Article 23 of the Consumer Protection Law, which mandates that service providers must deliver services in a proper manner and within an appropriate timeframe. If unable to do so, they are required to refund the value of the service or complete it correctly as specified by regulations.
In response to the complaints, the department coordinated with the Public Prosecution, resulting in a judicial decision to temporarily close the establishment until the case is resolved. Additional legal measures are being pursued.
The CPA urges all commercial establishments to maintain transparency and credibility in their dealings with consumers to safeguard their rights and avoid legal repercussions.
