Omani officials offer condolences to Pakistani and Indian Ambassadors following Wadi Kabir shooting incident

Omani officials expressed their deepest condolences to the ambassadors of Pakistan and India following the tragic shooting incident in Wadi Al Kabir, Muscat Governorate.

Muscat: Khalid bin Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, alongside Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department, extended their condolences to Ambassador Muhammad Imran Ali Chowdhury of Pakistan and Ambassador Amit Narang of India. The condolences were offered in response to the tragic loss of members from both the Pakistani and Indian communities in a recent shooting incident in Wadi Al Kabir, Muscat Governorate.

During the meetings, the Omani officials expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy for the bereaved families and wished a swift recovery for those injured. They emphasized the Sultanate of Oman’s support for the affected families and the country’s solidarity in the wake of this horrific incident.

In response, the ambassadors of Pakistan and India praised the prompt and effective measures taken by Omani authorities to contain the situation and confront the aggressors, actions that significantly mitigated further loss of life. They also expressed gratitude for the medical care provided to the injured in Omani hospitals.

Additionally, the ambassadors extended their condolences for the martyrdom of a security officer and wished a speedy recovery for all the injured. They reaffirmed their countries’ full solidarity with Oman and support for its efforts to maintain the security and tranquillity for which the Sultanate is known.
