MUSCAT : The Salalah Free Zone organized the third edition of its “Made in Salalah Free Zone” exhibition. The event featured 16 prominent companies operating within the zone, highlighting the region’s diverse industrial landscape.
Dr Ali bin Mohammed Tabuk, CEO of Salalah Free Zone, proudly announced that the zone had successfully attracted 13 new companies in the first half of 2024. Notably, 70 per cent of these newcomers are industrial projects focused on producing a range of products, including frankincense derivatives, packaging and cleaning products such as soap and frankincense oil, air conditioners, blood sugar measuring strips, and food and dairy products.
“The exhibition aims to raise community awareness about the companies and products manufactured in the Salalah Free Zone,” Dr. Tabuk said. He emphasized the zone’s crucial role in driving the industrial sector and strengthening the national economy by creating a conducive environment for investment and growth.

A unique feature of this year’s exhibition was the inclusion of university students, who presented their innovative projects.
The Salalah Free Zone boasts a cumulative investment volume of RO 4.7 billion. Out of 145 companies established in the zone, 64 are already in the operating phase, with the industrial sector accounting for 56 per cent of these businesses.
