Muscat: Residents in the Sultanate experienced a slight respite from rising temperatures as the mercury dipped slightly in the past 2 days.
According to the reports from Oman Meteorology, Rustaq recorded the highest temperature in Oman, reaching a blistering 44.6ºC.
In Samail and Mayzuna, the mercury climbed to 44.4ºC, while Maqshin saw a high of 44.3ºC. Sunaynah was not far behind, recording a temperature of 44.2ºC. Al Awabi and Hamra Ad Duru both registered 44.1ºC, and Bidbid rounded out the list with a maximum temperature of 44ºC.
