Muscat – As per the thunderstorm alert, there are chances of cumulonimbus cloud activity over the Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas, extending to the deserts. The warning is in effect from 1 pm to 8 pm today.
The affected areas include North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahirah, and Al Dakhiliyah.
The thunderstorms may be accompanied by active downward winds, hail, and flash floods in valleys and reefs during the afternoon and evening.
Rainfall amounts are expected to range between 10-30 mm. The Civil Aviation Authority advises all individuals in the affected areas to take necessary precautions to ensure safety and avoid travel unless essential.
