MUSCAT : The CPA in Barka has cracked down on a deceptive furniture operation that involved manufacture of furniture using low-quality materials.

The CPA seized the fake furniture that was getting ready to be sold as new products in the market, arrested the employees and imposed a fine of RO 1000.

Investigations revealed that the workers used to transfer the furniture to the company workshop in Al Mabela in the Wilayat of Seeb to give the indication that the furniture is high quality and that the workshop is trustworthy.
