MUSCAT : With such extreme temperatures, authorities urge residents to prioritize safety by avoiding direct sunlight, especially during peak heat hours around noon.
The advisory acknowledges that many jobs require workers to be outdoors, exposing them to the sun and high temperatures.
To safeguard their health, the following recommendations are made:
• Organize work hours to include rest periods when temperatures are at their highest.
• Limit direct sunlight exposure, particularly during the hottest part of the afternoon.
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day to prevent dehydration.
• Provide training to workers and supervisors on how to recognize and respond to heatstroke emergencies.
