MUSCAT: As many as 181 Indians who are stranded due to Covid-19 will be evacuated in the first flight that is scheduled to take-off from Muscat International Airport on Friday at 4:15pm.

The Indian Embassy in Muscat finalised the complete list of passengers on Friday for the first flight that will depart to Kochi in Kerala, who were chosen on the basis of the reasons they furnished while registering their names

According to the list monitored by The Arabian Stories, there are 77 medical emergency cases, 48 pregnant and elderly passengers, 30 stranded visitors, 22 workers and four infants.

“We carefully short-listed the passengers based on priority. It was tough to choose these from a large list we received over the last one month. All the passengers have taken the ticket,” said a senior official at the Indian Embassy.

Passengers have been informed to arrive at the airport at least 5 hours early and will undergo a thermal screening tests before they board the aircraft. The flight will arrive in Kochi at 8:50pm (India time)

The second flight will take-off from Muscat to Chennai on May 12.
