Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources today signed an agreement to lease a unit for establishing a research centre to develop robotics and drones for agricultural, fishery and water uses.
The agreement stems from the Ministry’s endeavours to consolidate partnership with the private sector and enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to carry out tasks in the agricultural sector through the use of smart technologies.
The Ministry also seeks to introduce, evaluate, transfer and utilize modern technologies in the agricultural sector.
