MUSCAT: Oman has around 3.9 million internet users, according to a report by Arabic Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI).
Interestingly, there are 1.6 million people using Facebook in Oman, 1.2 million Instagram users, while 200,000 use Twitter.
In GCC, 51.1 million people use internet of which 30 million are from Saudi Arabia, 9.5 million in UAE, 4.1 million in Kuwait, and 2.1 million in Qatar.

According to the report, Facebook is the most popular social media app in GCC with 35.9 million users following by 16.5 million Twitter users.
