MUSCAT: Sayyid Abdulla Hamad Said Al Busaidy, Oman’s former Minister of Housing, passed away on Monday.
Al Busaidy, who was also the former chairman of the State Audit Institution, until his retirement in 2011 held various top positions in the government for more than 38 years. He represented the Sultanate at numerous international conferences and was instrumental in strengthening the Sultanate’s relations with other countries.
Al Busaidy was appointed as the Minister of Housing in 1986. He was also Oman’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Egypt, and Cyprus.
