MUSCAT: The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources on Friday informed that 27 commercial stores can operate during the current period provided they take necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. 

Following are the shops allowed to operate: 

1. Shops selling foodstuff items
2. Restaurants, cafés and mobile cafés (delivery only)
3. Medical and veterinary clinics
4. Pharmacies
5. Optical shops
6. Fuel stations
7. Gas distribution outlets
8. Gas distribution delivery vehicles
9. Bakeries and bakery shops
10. Water factories and water selling shops
11. Dessert factories
12. Food industries
13. Shops selling fodder and grains
14. Meat and poultry shops
15. Shops selling fish items
16. Ice cream, corn, sweets and nuts shops
17. Shops selling vegetables and fruits
18. Juice selling shops (delivery only)
19. Mishkak selling shops (delivery only)
20. Mills
21. Shops selling honey
22. Dates selling shops
23. Animal and poultry farms
24. Shops selling and repairing tyres, electric cars; oil change and car wash outlets in fuel stations and industrial areas only
25. Shipping and customs clearance offices
26. Shops selling sanitary and electrical materials (delivery requests only without receiving customers in the shop)
27. Non-food stores (for storage purposes only)

Last week, Oman had banned all commercial shops from operating due to the spread of the virus.
