Muscat: Organized by the Bidiya Equestrian Club and the Camel Ardha Racing Committee, the festival attracted over 230 participants, showcasing Oman’s rich equestrian and camel racing heritage.

Khalid bin Hamad Al Hajri, President of the Bidiya Equestrian Club, praised the annual festival’s success, noting the diverse participation from North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Muscat.

The festival featured impressive displays of horse and camel skills, with riders demonstrating their prowess and performing traditional arts like Humble and Mahwarb, which celebrate Omani heritage and Arab traditions. Children and families enjoyed a range of activities along the racing track, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The excitement continues tomorrow with the Ardha race for horses and camels in the village of Al Wasil, which is part of the ongoing events celebrating the Seventh of Dhu al-Hijjah.
