Muscat – The agreement was signed by H.E. Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, and Dr. Amer bin Awad Al Rawas, Chairman of OPAL.
The cooperation program focuses on implementing training strategies and plans to ensure the readiness of the national workforce for employment in the energy, mineral, and various other sectors. It aims to identify professions suitable for job seekers and determine the necessary skills and qualifications.
Key components of the program include funding for employment-related training programs and on-the-job training. This includes paying training fees to selected institutes and providing monthly grants to trainees.

Holders of university degrees will receive RO 250 per month, post-secondary diploma and vocational college diploma holders will receive RO 200 and general education diploma holders and below will receive RO 150.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Labour’s efforts to train, qualify, and employ the national workforce by involving various sectors and encouraging participation in training programs. The program aims to equip job seekers with the professional skills and experience needed to fill available positions, ensuring the continuity of the national workforce and helping them achieve their professional aspirations.
