Shura Council tackles water supply challenges with Nama Water Services

Muscat: The discussion centred on enhancing service delivery, renewing contracts for water transport tank owners, and addressing delays in establishing water supply networks in several neighbourhoods.

Qais Saud Al Zakwani, CEO of Nama Water Services Company, delivered a comprehensive visual presentation detailing the current state and future plans of the company. His presentation highlighted key areas such as water transportation services, pricing and billing, and strategic plans for expanding water networks to residential areas.

Al Zakwani emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation, including plans to replace mechanical meters with smart meters and enhance the suite of electronic services available through the Nama app. Currently, the app offers 33 services, including a prepaid system, interactive WhatsApp service, online appointment booking, notifications, and a complaint filing system.
