Muscat – The meeting, part of a series aimed at joint coordination between ministries, governors, and municipal councils, focused on development initiatives within the Interior Governorate.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss development aspects, review the Ministry’s strategic programs and plans, and align them with the initiatives of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The discussions aimed to clarify the necessary aspects and requirements for selecting and implementing various development projects and to leverage opinions and proposals from the attendees.

Lara Bint Ghassan Obaidat, Advisor to the Minister for Scholarships and Qualifications Equivalency, presented a comprehensive visual presentation. She highlighted the strategic priorities of the Ministry’s three key sectors: higher education, scientific research and innovation, and vocational training. Obaidat also underscored the significant areas of cooperation and partnership between the Ministry and the Governorate.

Khadija Al Khayariyya, Director of the Office of Follow-up and Implementation of Oman Vision 2040 in the Office of the Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, provided an introductory overview of the governorate. Her presentation shed light on Al Dakhiliyah’s relative and competitive advantages, emphasizing its strategic links with multiple governorates and detailing ongoing development plans and projects across its various states.

Engineer Mahmoud bin Khalfan Al Hadidi, CEO of the Education Endowment Foundation (Siraj), presented an overview of the Foundation. He discussed its most significant developments and current and future initiatives aimed at supporting needy and gifted students, as well as projects of higher education institutions.
