Expat worker in Oman faces jail, deportation for storing expired medical supplies

A court in South Al Batinah Governorate has convicted an expatriate worker in Barka for storing and selling expired medical materials in a home.

MUSCAT : In a notice issued online, the Consumer Protection Authority stated that the expatriate worker will face six months imprisonment, followed by permanent deportation for the storage and circulation of expired medical materials without the necessary licenses from the concerned authorities.

The court also ordered the confiscation of the expired medical products found in his possession.
