TEHRAN: Iran’s President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi and foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were in the helicopter that suffered a hard landing in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, state media reported on Sunday.
Adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, are hampering rescue efforts and the helicopter is still missing.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Fars News Agency calls on Iranians to pray for President Raisi.

“We are still hopeful but information coming from the crash site is very concerning,” said the official, speaking to Reuters.
